Proletarians of All Countries Unite!

Dear Comrades,

The New Peru Friendship Association (USA) would first like to give our warmest revolutionary greetings to Chairman Gonzalo, the greatest living Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, to Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism, to the glorious Communist Party of Peru on its 86th Anniversary, particularly its Central Committee; and to the glorious and invincible People's War in Peru. We extend these greetings to the 2014 Madrid Conference and its organizers, the Peru People’s Movement and all the participants and the International Communist Movement as a whole, particularly those who wage their own people’s wars and armed struggles like in India, Turkey and the Philippines. We are in full agreement with the Call's objectives established last year for the Conference and its 9 points. We wish we could have been present at this Conference but were unable to attend.

The world imperialist crisis that is unfolding more and at a faster pace is evident on a world level as well as here in the belly of the beast. Imperialism goes from one defeat to the next abroad as well as here in its very bosom. The class struggle is gaining more and more momentum, as can be seen clearly in Ferguson, MO, for example. After the murder by the Ferguson police of a youth, the people took to the streets and have confronted Yankee imperialist local and state police as well as the National Guard in rebellion. The masses have faced martial law, including curfews and even a no-fly zone. The old washed-up representatives of the Yankee State, like Jesse Jackson, Cornel West and Al Sharpton, peddle parliamentary cretinism, but have lost their credibility in front of the masses. Al Sharpton has been exposed as an FBI informant and Jesse Jackson gets booed off the stage in Ferguson while trying to pass the collection plate. The problem is not with the masses in the US, but with the leaders.

Bob Avakian, likewise, peddles his "new synthesis", capitulation in front of imperialism, claiming that "Marxism has failed" and therefore must be "re-envisioned" by him personally. On a practical level, here in the United States, what these individuals do is try to isolate the us from the masses. They act in an unprincipled way by talking behind our backs, not engaging in principled struggle, but instead trying to stifle us and tell their masses that Chairman Gonzalo "is" or "might be" behind the peace accords. They unite with the ROL in principle and work to undermine Maoism, spread capitulation. We condemn and reject this, and give our solemn promise to crush this isolation, which is part of the plan of imperialism to prevent Maoism from being incarnated in the masses

The problem for the US proletariat is to reconstitute its Communist Party as a militarized party for waging people's war, in the oppressed nations as well as in the imperialist countries. This is the task of the communists. Conditions here, as in the world, are excellent and the prospects are brilliant.
