We celebrate the birthday of Chairman Gonzalo and the Day of the People’s Liberation Army full of revolutionary optimism. The Peru People’s Movement reaffirms itself in its firm, conscious, voluntary and unconditional salute and subjection to our Great Leadership Chairman Gonzalo, Great leader of the Party and the revolution, center of Party unity and guarantee of triumph until communism, based on the creative application of our universal ideology Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, principally Maoism, to the reality of the Peruvian revolution: Gonzalo thought.

When, after the restoration of capitalism in China, the majority of the parties that called themselves communist were pro-Soviet or Teng Hsiao-pingists, the PCP under the Great leadership of Chairman Gonzalo, firmly taking up the struggle against revisionism as the main enemy, continued forging the Party for its main task: to initiate the people’s war.

It is under the Great leadership of Chairman Gonzalo that the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo thought counteroffensive is initiated against the general counterrevolutionary offensive and against the revisionist attack from Teng, Hoxha, Castro, Alia and Brezhnev.

In 1980, when many communists in the world wavered, the people’s war is initiated under the Great leadership of Chairman Gonzalo.

Currently, the CC of the PCP, by applying Gonzalo thought, omnimodally leads the people’s war and fulfills the plans established by Chairman Gonzalo, combatting all capitulation and crushing the opposing lines, the revisionist and capitulationist ROL and the armed revisionism of the LOL, as well as all kinds of revisionism, in order to bring the revolution to its final victory.

The people’s war in Peru develops combatting the yankee superpower, mainly, but without capitulating before any other imperialist superpower (Russia or China) or power.

On the international level the PCP, by applying Gonzalo thought, fulfills its role as red faction of the International Communist Movement by combatting all revisionism, the old as well as the new type acting under the label of Maoism.

Grasping the international experience of revolution and that of the people’s war in Peru, Chairman Gonzalo teaches us that if a revolutionary party and a revolutionary army do not fear the difficulties, if they struggle heroically and relentlessly against the enemy, they will conquer victory.

We call all the communists, revolutionaries and progressives to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo, the most important political prisoner and prisoner of war in the world.
We call the ICM to learn from the experience of the people’s war in Peru and apply the universal contributions of Chairman Gonzalo.
